Some stories begin with a master plan, while others begin with searching for names at 2 a.m. That is how Josefa began—the moment I discovered polymer clay and felt an endless rush of colors, shapes, and creations waiting to be born.

Finding the Name

Then came the search for a name. Countless possibilities passed, but nothing felt right until I found Josefa. I believed it belonged to my great-grandmother’s mother, until my half-sister revealed it was actually her own grandmother’s name.

Then she told me something that made me fall in love completely: Josefa adored emeralds. The name felt timeless, recalling a woman of grace, quiet confidence, and authentic character. And just like that, Josefa stayed.
